2024 Hagerstown Grand Opening Ribbon Cutting at Wings & Wheels Expo!

Celebrate Aviation History at the Hagerstown Aviation Museum's Grand Opening Ribbon Cutting and Aircraft Dedication! The ribbon-cutting festivities kick off at 11:30 to mark the museum's grand opening. Witness the dedication of six newly acquired aircraft to the museum's already impressive collection. Throughout the ceremony, the Marine Corps League will present the Colors and the New Horizons Band will perform the National Anthem - plus a grand opening commemorative postcard will be available to ceremony attendees as a memento of this event!

WINGS!
Featuring the Hagerstown Aviation Museum’s extensive collection of vintage aircraft built in Hagerstown. Bring the family out and climb aboard museum aircraft like the Fairchild C-82, C-119 Flying Boxcars and the C-123K. See other museum aircraft: 1928 Kreider Reisner KR-31 biplane, and Fairchild 22, 24, PT-19 and PT-26 all built in Hagerstown. Make a $200 donation and experience the thrill of open-cockpit flying for a sight-seeing tour in the museum's 1943 Fairchild PT-19 Primary Trainer!!

WHEELS!
Featuring antique and classic cars, trucks, military vehicles, antique tractors, & motorcycles! That's not all! Tractor-trailers, cranes, law enforcement, SWAT vehicles, & much more. Owners can register their vehicle on site ($10 per car) for the Classic Cruise-In and the first 200 vehicles receive a custom event dash plaque!

Lunch and sweets available from Local Vendors. This community event is a great day for the family to visit the airport & learn more about Hagerstown’s Aviation Past, Present, and Future. Museum merchandise, toys, books, hats, T-shirts are for sale.

Entry By Donation. $5 per person suggested donation. Your donations will support future museum events and help rehabilitate the museum's new home in the original 1943 Fairchild Aircraft Flight Test Hangar, also known as the Dome Hangar.
